Refund Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective and last updated: 21 July 2026

In short: Try TrimCI free for 14 days before paying anything. Paid plans bill monthly for detected active contributors and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the period you already paid for. If something went wrong — you were billed incorrectly, or the Service was faulty — contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will make it right. Refunds are executed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.

1. Who bills you

Paid TrimCI subscriptions are sold, billed and invoiced by Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record (the reseller of record named at checkout and on your invoice). Paddle handles checkout, VAT/sales tax, invoices and payment processing; refunds under this policy are executed by Paddle to your original payment method. Paddle's own buyer terms, presented at checkout, apply to the payment transaction alongside this policy.

2. Evaluate before you pay

Every new organization receives a 14-day free trial with Business-equivalent limits, with no payment method required. The trial — and the Free plan that follows it indefinitely — is the intended way to evaluate whether TrimCI fits before spending anything.

3. Cancellation

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from Settings → Plan & billing → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you already paid for: you keep every paid feature until that date, no further charges are made, and your data is never deleted because of a plan change — the organization simply continues on the Free plan.

4. Refunds

Monthly charges for periods already started are generally not refunded pro-rata — the per-contributor quantity is computed before each renewal, and cancelling stops future charges. However, we will refund a charge in full where something actually went wrong, including: a billing error on our or Paddle's side (for example a charge after a completed cancellation, or a demonstrably incorrect contributor count we cannot explain from the audit trail), or a Service outage or fault that made the Service substantially unusable for a significant part of the billed period.

To request a refund, email support@trimci.com within 14 days of the charge, from an address associated with your organization, including the invoice number from the Paddle receipt. We respond within 14 days; approved refunds are executed by Paddle to the original payment method (bank processing times vary).

5. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights you cannot waive by contract. If you purchase as a consumer, the withdrawal and remedies provisions described in the Terms of Service and in applicable consumer law apply in addition to this policy.
